my hubby and i went there for lunch yesterday, food was absolutely disgusting. i had this long brown greasy fried thing that masqueraded as fish, it was like a slimey jelly, chips were strange colour and soggy. salad was 1 slice of tomato and green leaves.hubby had greasy schnitzal with the crappiest 'bosciole' sauce ive ever seen. needless to say we won't go there again. 1st and last time. if you can't even cook fresh chips properly, then you can't cook anything else. we paid $36 for this rubbish
"Restaurant" is undoubtedly the most horrendous experience in recent history... I'm normally pretty understanding, but having 4 meals arrive nearly 20 minutes apart for our same table, rubbish quality meat, shocking service, wrong meals arriving multiple times, delayed kids' meals, being overcharged $20 on the meal (and having to point out the sign that showed the price) and needing to argue for a partial refund... then having the screw ups explained as "being busy" when there were a total of 4 tables being occupied. I would have asked for a refund but the staff were already rude enough. Best avoided. It used to be a great feed - not the case anymore.
Tall Timbers Hotel has some interesting information on why Australia is called the land down under?
Australia is known as 'the land Down Under' for its position in the southern hemisphere. The discovery of Australia began when European explorers searched for land under the continent of Asia. Before Australia was discovered, it was known as Terra Australis Incognita the unknown southern land.
