Hotel was located near Sydney Harbour which is a huge plus, you can walk to the rocks to enjoy the good selection of restaurant. As for the Hotel, it was alright but it is definitely dated. It doesn't provide the Marriott feel when you enter the lobby. Room was clean, staffs were courteous and overall it just feel old. Hilton, Sofitel (Darling Harbour) and Sheraton on the park are better bets if you are going to spend more time in the hotel.
Wow - what a location! Opera house or the Rocks - a 5 minute walk! The usual Marriott hospitality. If you are Elite and have access to the lounge, the value for money is hard to beat. The lounge is open all day - breakfast, snacks and coffee during the day, light snacks, drinks and dessert at night. Keep it up!
If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around... The rooms are spacious and comfortable, I had a fantastic nights sleep on the bed. Bathroom was spotless and the decor was polished and clean. The pool and saunas were very relaxing. The saunas are separated into male and female which has it's pros and cons, but all round the pool area is nice. The gym is well stocked with equipment (especially compared to most hotel gyms) and allows for most workouts

The Marriott Had a great view of the Sydney Opera House. Also the Marriott has a gym and pool. The pool was really cold thought not sure if that was because it was summer time there. They also have a Spa. The Marriott Club was fine because they were using a large conference room that was repurposed into the club while it was being renovated. The Club was filled in the mornings during breakfast. The Suite I stayed in had a modern spacious design with a walk in shower and jetted tub.
Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay has some interesting information on why Australia is called the land down under?
Australia is known as 'the land Down Under' for its position in the southern hemisphere. The discovery of Australia began when European explorers searched for land under the continent of Asia. Before Australia was discovered, it was known as Terra Australis Incognita the unknown southern land.
