The Rainbow Gorge - Kirra Sandbow Circuit is located within Fraser Island, Great Sandy National Park. Fraser Island is the world's largest sand island and an area of remarkable natural beauty. The Rainbow Gorge - Kirrar Sandblow Circuit is a 1.9 kilometre return walk of an easy grade. Allow one hour to complete this walk. Walk through low coastal scrub and sheltered cypress forest to the coloured sands at Rainbow Gorge on World Heritage Listed Fraser Island. The highlight is the eerie lunar landscape of Kirrar Sandblow where a spring-fed stream creates small sand formations and has exposed the underlying sandstone rock.
