Situated in Fortitude Valley’s ‘entertainment precinct’, the Stepinn is a live music venue and bar that aims to provide a variety of experiences for you to enjoy. At the Stepinn you can mostly find hip-hop, dubstep, heavy metal, garage rock and indie rock. Three separate areas allows for three separate genres to be played on any given night.
We pride ourselves on supporting local bands, but we also have touring national and international acts. The Stepinn has a small gaming area, which is open until 2am.
The venue is available for bookings, whether it be for bands or functions. The main stage area has a capacity of 360 people. The front bar area (usually used for djs, but many bands have also played here), fits 100 people, and the nightclub upstairs has a capacity of 250 people.
We are currently closed during the day, and open for live music Wednesday evening through to Saturday evening. Closing times vary depending on the event, but we are licensed until 5am.
