Internally the public spaces have been opened up in a major way with removal of sections of the upper floor and ceilings over the bar area. A fireplace suspended in space, door jambs left standing in the middle of the room. The result is a building that is quite obviously not original, but neither is the way in which it is used today and judging by the re-visits by many who return it is a place people enjoy using.
