Book Direct with the Owner at Lyndoch with New South Wales Tourism in Lyndoch, for all your holiday and travel needs.
On 13 December 1837, Colonel William Light camped in the vicinity of the Kies Wines cellar door and Burge Family Winemakers and made a sketch of the area which he then named Lynedoch Vale. This makes Lyndoch the oldest town in the Barossa and - sitting as it does at the southern entrance to the valley - a wonderful first taste of the region. With a population of around 1200 residents, Lyndoch retains the feel of a small country town and the main street offers quirky shops, a butcher and traditional German bakery, great coffee and local produce. Those who head off the main thoroughfare will be rewarded with some stunning reminders of the region's history. Lyndoch is home to Barossa Chateau and Chateau Yaldara, both imposing, iconic treasures of an opulent past. With antiques, local arts, stunning scenery, caf?s, restaurants and cellar doors, these beautiful historic buildings will transport you to another era. For a slightly faster pace, thrill seekers can take a joyride with Barossa Helicopters - you're sure to find a new perspective on the Barossa! ...New South Wales Tourism welcomes Lyndoch, the ideal Lyndoch SA Holiday outlet for all the family to enjoy. We have made sure that we have thought of everything you would expect from your vacation with many features, click on the email or phone now button to get in touch with the owner.
